Another front blowing through Mesa County this morning. Raining since midnight and it will rain on and off today. Snow at the 7500 ft. level tonight. Doesn't seem to be a big storm. Clearing Wednesday.

Snow pack is looking good!
Last day of skiing, now waiting for Clear Creek to come up, need 400 cfs for Lower CC.
A few days of sun and we should be good to go!
Going to hit the Dirty South after work Tuesday, only thing running (2200cfs).

We did some heavy chainsaw work and pulled a big cottonwood out just below the Lower put in a few weeks ago. Should be good to go.

Well, I'm not sure if this will be the last post on this thread or not, but the snow is still coming down in the high country. The NBC affiliate in GJ is KKCO and they showed pictures of tow trucks pulling cars that have slipped off U.S. 40-this would be Rabbit Ears Pass.

This one lasted a long time! Mesa County will be seeing 85 to 90 degree temps by this weekend.

I hesitated to post it because it looks so good right now. Keep in mind that this is versus the average for this date and we've had a cool wet spring so far so it looks really outstanding. Hopefully it stays this way for a while and we don't have much of a fire season.

If we have a hot spell soon, there will be some flooding.

I expect that we will seem some fire issues this summer. A lot of wet spring stuff, and by mid June it will dry up and hot, dry weather will roll in. Then all that fresh green will dry up and make great tinder.

As for Winter, since we are sleeping with windows open now, I think it's safe to say we can put this winter to rest.
