I registered a week ago to get the express toll transponder, paid the $35 online and today I got an email:

"Your request for an ExpressToll motorcycle transponder has been received. We apologize for the inconvenience, but at this time we will not be able to send you the transponder. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) provides information about each license plate. At this time, the DMV is showing that this license plate is either not registered or not classified as a motorcycle. You will need to contact the DMV and provide the correct information in order to resolve this issue."

What the heck is this? I bought my car at carmax two months ago, passed emissions, got my car registered and license plate! seriously, I dont get it.

obviously your car is not a motorcycle so the 'puter database shows that the license plate # you applied with doesn't match a motorcycle. Sounds like a glitch in the application process where your info got processed as a motorcycle instead of a car.

So: "You will need to contact the DMV and provide the correct information in order to resolve this issue"

If you'll contact them per their request you can readily resolve the concern. The car license plate/registration should match up in the database.

just called ...they made a mistake canceling my order thinking my vehicle was a motorcycle.
