This is an often times repeated myth. Denver's 50.4% male population is not significantly different than many other metros and is only slightly higher than the US measure of 49.2% male population. Now, the attitude of those men may be different, but that is another topic unto its self.

You won’t find diversity in Arizona. An African American I used to work with joked that she was one of only 3 blacks in Arizona.
You will find any level of affordability depending on where you’re willing to live.
I found people in Arizona very friendly, except maybe in Scottsdale, where they can be a bit snotty.
