Yep. To that point, the one who is the most anti Trump is getting my vote for governor. It would be a very scary proposition to have Colorado start to fall in line with Washington right now.

Those stupid mailers - such as the desperate "Phony Polis" junk and No to 112 for bogus reasons - push me deeper into the blue zone. They can keep up the nonsense to their peril. I applaud their efforts to shoot themselves in the feet. They trip over themselves to achieve the 'Top Clown' and 'King of the Fools' awards, as a collective bane and scourge to our country.

Couldn't agree more. Leave the undeveloped land in Colorado undeveloped . . .

This isn't about land; it's about people and so-called "leaders".

One of the fracking company executives told me drinking oil would make me stronger and more virile.

So if he is elected I don't see him accomplishing much. Polis is running on free health care, free college, free transportation etc......well the health care bill got annihilated a few years ago so why would it succeed again?
Don't forget the other biggie- FREE Childcare (a.k.a. pre-k/kindergarten as they love to call it).

It's about both. By land, I mean environment. All organisms, including homo sapiens, need a habitat or environment to live. That means includes clean and unpolluted water, air, and soil.

Cases in point: I moved here from Texas, and Texas is most famous for its Attorney General suing the EPA over air quality standards.

Many of Texas' larger cities have problems with air pollution (esp. ozone levels), according to studies:

1) Dallas/Ft Worth: https://www.nbcdfw.com/weather/stori...301752691.html

2) San Antonio: Deteriorating Air Quality In San Antonio Could Mean More Respiratory Deaths | Texas Public Radio

3) Houston: https://www3.epa.gov/ttnchie1/confer...on6/bethel.pdf

People with respiratory illnesses (e.g., asthma, COPD) more often have exacerbations of their illness and may even die. This conclusion is supported by medical science -- i.e., studies by pulmonologists in the American Lung Association, and other studies commissioned by various groups.

Governor Abbott's response: https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Te...296487771.html

We need "leaders" who protect "the commons" (air, water, and land) so that people can leed healthy lives. Yes, jobs are also important, but not at expense of environmental degradation.

Fascinating to me that some folks think Polis is a socialist etc., considering he made his fortune as a creative, techie business person. From wiki: Jared Polis
Quote:
. . .
Business career
Polis co-founded American Information Systems (AIS), Inc while still in college. AIS was an internet access provider and was sold in 1998. In 1996, he co-founded[8] a free electronic greeting card website, Bluemountain.com, which was sold to Excite@Home in 1999 for $430 million in stock and $350 million in cash.[9][10]

In February 1998, Polis founded ProFlowers, an online florist, in La Jolla, California. In December of that year, economist Dr. Arthur Laffer began advising Polis and joined ProFlowers as a Director.[11] ProFlowers, later renamed Provide Commerce, Inc., went public on NASDAQ as PRVD on December 17, 2003. In 2005, Provide Commerce was acquired by media conglomerate Liberty Media Corporation for $477 million. . .
My take is he's more the cockeyed optimist; he's made his fortune, and he truly dreams of making the world a better place; he does think out of the box, and has done so successfully. Is he my dream candidate? No, but no on Stapleton no matter what.
