I LOVE my free healthcare - thank you Mr. Obama!!
So you could afford your own insurance. But instead you choose to exploit a loophole and freeload. Sorry man but that’s disgusting.

He is smart to use the loophole, politicians come up with all kind of stupid laws and usually have loopholes in them for smart people to utilize. Didn't Mr Trump brag about that when he was campaigning? In particular he said he had not paid taxes in many years, while at the same time being audited by the IRS every year, because he and his advisors knew how to work around the tax laws.

Although I don't blame him for using the loophole, if I was in that situation I wouldn't want to count on it sticking around until I could squeak into Medicare at 65.

I came out of retirement and went back to working full time at 61 primarily to get affordable health insurance. My premiums (pre-ACA) had risen to $1K each per month for my wife and me. Paying $24K per year with a $5K each deductible was not health insurance; it was extortion.

The health care system in this country is way too expensive and seriously broken. The problem with fixing it is that for every expense, there is an income and a political constituency, i.e. your expense is my income.

Of course, now that I'm beyond 65, I could just say, "No problem, I got mine Jack."
