Last winter, someone posted a link to a map which showed something like the percent of average snowfall for different regions of Colorado. Could someone post that link again? I quickly reviewed the previous posts in this thread and did not see the link. Thanks.

I googled Colorado Snowpack Maps and got a whole page of links: https://www.weather.gov/bou/co_snowpack

Here's one of them: https://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/ftpref...mal_update.pdf

A sizable storm is rolling through the Western Slope tonight and tomorrow. Forecast is 4 to 6 inches on the Grand Mesa and 8 to 12 inches in the high country. The last storm the front range had, am not sure of the numbers in the Denver area, my sister south of Larkspur said they got nearly a foot.

In Loveland, near the foothills, we got a little over 6" for Easter Sunday into Monday. As of yesterday, Wednesday 4/15, most of it was gone.

Starting very early this AM (Thursday), it started snowing. This morning at 4AM, the wind was blowing fair good and snow coming down. Right now (almost 8AM), we have close to 6"plus and it continues to snow. Even though we got 6 inches on Sunday AM/PM, really looks like we will get a foot plus out of this storm. It is a fairly wet/heavy snow with tree limbs really hanging low.

Better news: Middle of next week, we will be in the low 70's for a day or so.

18" in the foothills west of Boulder so far, still snowing. Actually glad it is cold (16 degrees) so the snow is light and fluffy. As much as I enjoy it, don't want a repeat of 2016. That year we got 42" from April 15-17.

Hoping that was the end for the season. With everything else going on, I'm just over it.

Boulder set a new record for most snow in a season.

Congratulations, Boulder: It’s your snowiest winter on record
Quote:
. . .With at least 10.5 inches (and counting) from Thursday’s storm, Boulder is now up to 145 inches so far this winter, surpassing the winter of 1908-09 for the snowiest winter on record in the city. . .
Even more impressive:
The snowiest city in the United States was right under our noses this whole time
Quote:
After Thursday’s foot of snow in Boulder, the city clinched its snowiest winter on record, with at least 145 inches of seasonal snowfall, through Thursday evening. In fact, Boulder’s seen more snow than any other major U.S. city, defined here as having a population of 50,000 or more people.

Boulder’s exceptionally snowy winter can be attributed to a combination of things, but at the heart of it: it’s been a season filled with lots of upslope snow events. The main driver for snow in eastern Colorado is an area of low pressure east of the state pumping in cold, moisture-rich winds against the Rockies. When that air meets the Rockies, it’s forced to rapidly ascend, condensing into heavy snow. . .
