what kind of decent job? denver is a full metropolitan area, so there are all kinds of jobs, but certain markets are better than others. there are many cities in or near the mtns in colorado, so you can probably find something.

you can also look in various parts of utah as well

whatever you decide, be sure you make every effort to line up a job BEFORE you come, otherwise you'll need a wad of cash and prepare to be a wage slave if all you're looking for is 'a job'.

Denver/Boulder area is your best bet for finding decent work in the mountain west region, though Salt Lake City, Boise, and Colorado Springs are all worth looking into.

I agree Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins are good area, you can't go wrong, we got a good share of TX plates around here, though it is getting quite pricery in Colorado as compared to when I was growing up but so is most of the country and places like Wyoming there just ain't much to do, I would definetly spend the summer saving up and looking for a job before you move here, maybe take a weekend to come visit as Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins each has their own subcultures. Good luck!

Thanxs for the input I have been working Industrial Maintenance for the past 10 years. I guess I would be interested in that kind of work. Is there any demand for that kind of work in the Denver , Colorado Springs area?
