Howdy All,

I am visiting Winter Park with family during last week of Dec-2021. We plan to spend 4 nights/ 5 days (Already booked condo at Winter park resort. While we know there are plenty of outdoor activities in the winter park area I am just curious to know if there is anything else you guys would recommend in and around the winter park area that is a must see?

I will be travelling with my wife and 3 kids (9,5 & 2 yrs)

We will be travelling by road from Dallas, TX and will be visiting Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and Georgetown (Taking the georgetown loop train ride) before heading to Winter park.

TIA

Regards,
Jacob

Book a snowmobile tour out of Grand Lake. There may also be dogsledding in the area. Both are fun for families.

Agree... As a 10 yr old, we had a wonderful snowmobile vacation to Winter Park. 50+ yrs later I can remember it quite well.

Bring warm clothes, WP / Frazer can be the coldest parts of Colorado.

Accommodation with fireplace is a plus. We did a small mom and pop motel 4 cabins.. have had some good stays in vintage lodges outside of town.
