Currently a senior in high school in a town of 110,000 people, im currently planning on attending a community college in peoria before transfering out to colorado. I am looking for an up-beat town that has some nightlife to it. Im looking for a town that i could attend a reknown community college while hitting the slopes everyday.Maybe not to small of a town but a town that u would be able to meet new people frequently. Give me some feedback on some good cities that is within distance of skiing? oh yea and not as pricey as vail or aspen... hit me back

Durango sounds like what you are looking for, I think though Fort Lewis is a four year college but there is also Pueblo Community College there, dont know much about it, Google Pueblo Community College in Durango, Colorado. Durango has all you seek, young fun loving people, slopes for skiing, snowboarding, bars, etc. They just opened a skate park too, pretty cool. Some nice bowls. Fort Lewis is known as Fort Leisure by the way! Farmington, New Mexico also has a community college - San Juan, pretty reasonable. It is a nice college and about one hour away from Durango.

Isn't there still a CC in Carbondale / Glenwood Springs? That would be pretty handy, and an ez trip to Den via train (or outta CO for an IL college kid) when needed. There were some lower cost areas nearby, and many good ones within ez reach. Also, a daily dip in the hot springs will do the body good
