I do believe there's a section of homes over there that are modular. I remember checking them out as part of the Parade of Homes a few years ago. Acero and Pueblo Blvd. is the area I'm talking about.

I've seen some Modulars that aren't too shabby. A friend of mine lives over there. He even has a back door and a little yard. I think it's common for them to have back doors now. I saw one once that didn't; which was weird, because even trailer homes have back doors. But I hear they use 2x6's where regular homes use a 2x4 or something like that. They can be well built. My home has high vaulted ceilings, so there's one difference. These things can be built on a basement too. But my friend says he can't stand one of his neighbor's barking dogs. I don't think you'll see too many attached garages over there. You could say they're kind of low end, but liveable.

If you go up Lake, I remember seeing lots of trailer homes over there. It's semi industrial around there too. Lots of liquor stores and windowless bars, if you need.

No, I wouldn't need, but thanks for the info. Anyway, when I rent for about a year when I live there it should be near the Pueblo Mall, and I saw alot of apartments in that area. After living there one year, I'm sure I should know a little more on the areas to know what i want.

Move to Canon City. More for your money, better weather, all of the amentities and, 45 minutes to Colorado Springs, 30 to Pueblo and.....a hop skip and jump to the Mountains whilst being by the river and foothills!!!

I also agree with Canon City as the best choice!

If you want a city, go with Colorado Springs or Denver. If you want a nice small community away from the big city, go with Canon City.
