Pueblo Blvd is getting a much needed up grade. CDOT is putting up new lights and guard rails. I was in traffic today and it had a great view of part of the project so I decided to take some pictures to show what is going on.

Not the best picture but you can see there was no barrier between the north and south bound lanes or lights before the project began. Not safe on a highway where you can go 55 MPH. Now they need to finish the loop to I-25 on the northside.

Your photos amply demonstrate a "city" doing it damnedest to be another automobile-centric, sprawled, ugly mess like 99% of the other cities in America. Aside from the lack of vegetation that makes the mess all the more stark and ugly in Pueblo, you might as well be in nearly any other metro area in America. Pave over paradise and put in a parking lot, baby. It's not something to be proud of in a place, it's a disgrace. You probably think that a 7/11 is a f***g architectural marvel on par with the Parthenon.

Pueblo is automobile centric. However, I am told our mass transit system is used more then average for a city of our size. I do support Pueblo continuing to have a better mass transit system and a better highway network as I feel both are important for a city.

A little off topic but not really since my photo shows Pueblo's landscape. To be honest I happen to like the dessert look of Pueblo and think that makes us unique, at least on the front range. I will go out and take pictures of some of the highways and parkways landscaping as they tend to take advantage of our southwest style here and I really like that.

Here is one picture I took:

This is Troy Ave by CSU Pueblo. This is where Thundervillage will be located (to the east) in a southwest style development by a southwest style campus. If you look at the median you can see they are also using the southwest theme as well and I think that looks really good for Pueblo. This will, also, be one of the major roads that connects Pueblo Springs to Pueblo.

Or you could just do us all a favor and shut up for once and let Joss have the right to be proud of where he comes from without having to deal with your nonsense.

What's "nonsense" is somebody posting pictures of a bunch of asphalt and strip malls to express his "pride" in his town. Why doesn't he just include some pictures of a sewer or a couple of meth houses? Pueblo actually has some very nice old architecture, historical locales, pretty parks, and quiet scenic places within its environs. If he really wants to "sell" his town to prospective residents, he should post those, not some dumb photos of a bunch of traffic on what can be an "anywhere" ugly street in America.

You make a good point on historical buildings and parks and I will think about starting a thread on Pueblo's historical buildings. That being said a good transportation network is just as important for people and companies when they decide on what city they want to move to and that includes highways. This part of Pueblo BLVD had been a un safe one with cars traveling at highway speeds with no median or lights, not anymore. That is good in my opinion and deserves to be talked about in the highway thread for Pueblo.

Jazz, take it easy. Do you have a hemorrhoid flare-up or something? Or just a nasty bug or something? Get a grip. Move back to Wyoming or something.

It does have nice buildings, and Josseppie shows those a lot too, but what he really likes is to see the growth of his city. And that isn't your problem since you don't even live there, so I think yeah, it's nonsense.

Yeah, I do. And, if a couple of posters on this forum would rub themselves up with Preparation H from head to toe, the problem would be solved.

According to Jazz, we're all going to hell on a greased pole.

I, frankly, am going to enjoy the ride...playing all the way down.

I refuse to eat $#!# daily like he does. He needs to learn how to go play and have fun.
