Wonderful shots of the Royal Gorge. I haven't been down there since I was released from my pampers. Need to make a trip. Is this Buckskin Joe's a recently built western town or an actual historic town? Looks old but I could be mistaken.
Thx 4 checking them out! We had a good camera, just didn't know to bump the setting up a few pixels.
The authenticity of the place? Well, I guess you can say it's been around a bit longer than I've been. Not too old really. But it's save and sturdy.
The Historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad (http://www.colorado.com/Listing.aspx?did=276 - broken link), which boards in Canon City, is perhaps more historical.
There's also "The Well" just west of Canon City and east of 115 which is clothing optional except on Tuesdays or something like that, and there's skydiving over there if you need. The later two attractions are obviously not for the OP; just thought I'd thow them in here for conversation.
ADD: Oops, I am the OP! I was referring this post back to the guy wanting to know about Cripple Creek.
Nice pictures Dog!!
I have a friend that lives at Buckskin Joes. Her and her husband keep people away after hours. Pretty interesting life. They have the whole walk of the town! No neighbors, just ghosts!
They are home during the day so,...lots of activity. I think I'd like it for a year (they have been there 5).
They live on top of one of the stores...free rent, etc.
I do like the Royal Gorge...it's fun. The Royal Gorge Route ( the train ride) is fantastic. I like the murder mystery package.
