Salida, Buena Vista and Carbondale areas. need all info i can get. My husband has promising job offers in all both areas. What are they like.Schools good? How do I find out about rentals and such. Thanks

Since no one has answered you. I will take a shot at it. Salida is the largest of the three. About 60 miles up the Arkansas River canyon from Canon City, which is larger and about 40 more to Pueblo or Colorado Springs. Very pretty mt town but if you are looking for lots of city type activities. No, there will not be much going on. Was ranching and railroad town. Buena Vista is farther still up along the Arkansas River. Also a very pretty town. But smaller. If you want a cup of coffee after 10 PM forget it unless you find a bar. Has a small prison there. Used to be only a boys prison but is now part of the CSP. I am not sure exactly what you want to know but as far as Carbondale, I cannot help except it is not far from Glenwood Springs and smaller yet.
