Hey Jim,

Do you know what the name of the band was that was playing in the pics? The bassist looks a lot like my friend Melissa that lives in Ridgway. If it is, I had no idea she was in a band. I'll have to ask her next time I talk to her! Would love to know the name.

BTW, thanks for posting all the pics. It sure makes me homesick...

Thanks Jim. It's not her, but sure could be! Either way, looks like it was a fun festival and you had some gorgeous Colorado weather to boot!

Rumble of thunder and off an on rain all day again today. In the high 60's. Raining hard in the high country. Air has a very pleasant almost sweet smelling odor to it, and is really refreshing.

I may be the only newcomer to realize I am living in basically a high arid plateau, but I do. The rain and storms didn't spoil the River Festival...since it's in a ahem...river.
What an absolutely gorgeous photo! I want to be there! Is that Ridgway?

Man-o-man, I wish this economy would straighten out sooner.
Those are some beautiful pics, as usual, Jim. You should check into doing photography (possibly for some extra cash, if needed). Keep on rock'in and posting those beautiful CO pics!!

Spent the day today on Engineer Pass from HWY 550 south of Ouray to Animas Forks then due to a thunderstorm and heavy cold rain on to Silverton and back over Red Mountain Pass to Ridgway. A great day!
