My husband and I have been wanting to get out of California for some time now... I was born in Colorado Springs and hear it is quite nice... but I want to make sure and research all of my options before deciding. Any suggestions?

Teach yourself how to use the search function. There is a great wealth of information about Colorado already posted. Read the available information, then post again with more specific questions. Your post as written doesn't provide enough detail to suggest anything else. Good luck!

Our forums in Colorado also have indexes listing most of the better threads, usually there are some for each town. The advanced search tool is easy to learn and can pull up tons of great info in just a second.

General questions are usually too broad to get good targeted info, for best results we need a lot of specifics from those who are seeking, see the TOS for what we'd like to know about you and your requirements.

Also, once you really get serious about it, Frontier Airlines usually offers the best rates and services to DEN and COS from SFO and SJC.

I suggest visiting AT LEAST three times, and NOT as a vacationing tourist for at least two of those.

All the people before me are correct and gave you good advise. I am in Nor Cal as well and want to relocate to Colorado. I know the Denver metro area pretty well from all the years of visiting my wives family and you will not be disappointed. The Springs area is very nice as well. Coming from Nor Cal to Co you will have some adjustments to do but mostly on the good side. Definitely fly out and spend some time looking at neighborhoods and get a feel for what the area feels and looks like. Colorado is not a big Lake Tahoe like allot of people think.

can i just add that the additional $10-$15 to use southwest airlines is worth it since they; dont charge for the extra bag checked in, everytime i fly they offer free drinks for some reason :shrugs:, and they are always accommodating to my girlfriend and our 1 yr old and usually have funny stewardesses
