Nobody seems to want new LPNs in the depressed economy of the Phoenix area at this time, so I am thinking seriously about relocating. Does anyone have any input regarding possibilities in Colorado?

This is a nationwide issue. My wife is a nurse and I will be in a year. Here in Florida she wanted to change jobs and it took her about 6 months to find a job. Before this crash, she could have got a job on the phone in less than a hour with a huge sign on bonus.

If you go to the website allnurse.com, check different areas in the forums and you will see everyone seems to be having this issue in all areas right now. Good luck.

The major health related employer in Grand Junction is Rocky Mountain Health Plans which has been featured a lot on the national news recently. You may want to try them. Just be aware that Grand Junction as a town might not be to your liking. It's a small desert town, about 80,000 people and it's pretty isolated. It's the biggest town around until you get to Denver (250 miles) or Salt Lake (250 miles.)
