The the pressure of car tires be modified at all at higher elevations? For example, if 32 psi is recommended, does that hold true in Denver and the mountains, too?

You should always keep the recommended level of air in your tires. As you go up in altitude, your tire pressure will increase in relation to the pressure outside the tire, but it's usually not enough to worry about unless you're going to be there for a long time.

Yes, you should keep your tires at the manufacture's (and your vehicle's) recommended PSI. Also, it helps with your overall mileage.

I've never bothered adjusting my tire pressure to account for any differences that may exist between altitude. I live at about 5000 feet and regularly go into the mountains up to about 10k. I never mess around with the tire pressure.
