I am taking a job at the hospital in durango next month and will be looking for something reasonable to rent for about a year. After that I plan on buying...
So while i was out there for the interview i had the opportunity to look around and found several very nice (just what i am looking for) cabins...unfortunately they had all 'just' been rented. and interestingly enough all rented for reasonable prices 900-1200 monthly. anyway, I would prefer to not go through a realtor so if anyone knows of anyone renting, or any publications i can subscribe to or find on the internet please let me know.
thank you very much

2nd on the Herald...that's were we found our place.

In March we'll be moving out of our 3br place right on the Animas river, about halfway between the hospital and "downtown". It rents for $1345. If that's of any interest, yell and I can hook you up with the owner.

Default Durango-Bayfield

IS IT POSSIBLE to rent a cabin or small house on ACREAGE in the Durango-Bayfield area for $700 or less . . . note specifically on ACREAGE . . . thanks . . .

IF SO, then the region beats many other Southwestern US Cities in terms of the COL (Cost of Living), especially considering that Kroger / City Market (Durango) offers grocery prices lower than most other chains . . .
