I've applied at most of the franchise restaurants. I've applied for jobs delivering pizzas. I've applied for jobs at hotels. I've applied for jobs at grocery stores. I've applied for jobs at convenience stores. I've applied for jobs at home improvement businesses (This is the area where I have the most knowledge and experience, specifically in plumbing). I've applied for a job at the Target Distribution Center (I also have 3 years of experience in shipping and distribution).

No luck at all.

I will say I know the job market is tough now. Maybe you should try fast food?

Sounds like you might have to think about going into business for yourself. Fix computers; buy things, fix them up, resell them; etc etc Turn one of your skills into something you can use to make money.

"Buenos dias señor y ¡bienvenido a WalMart!" (Good day and welcome to Wal Mart)

"¡Tenemos el espectáculo de la luz azul en el canal numero tres!" (We have a blue light special in aisle number 3!)

Spanish will be a great asset in job seeking. You have to be able to talk to customers/students/patients, and more and more of your customers/students/patients, etc. won't be able to speak English. The "hispanization" of the US is actually one of our lesser problems (compared to the "immoralization" of the US, nuclear Islamic nations, the greater depression and a coming new dark age) but it is inevitable and clearly accelerating. We have brought all of this upon ourselves, and the bill has now come due.

I agree that being able to speak Spanish as well as English in Pueblo would help.
