I am looking for a small church in Colorado that my fiance and I might get married at. I would like a 'prairie wedding' out in the country instead of having one in the mountains. It would be a very small wedding with maybe a couple of people besides us. Does anyone know of such a place?

I do know of a little church, on the prairie, near Mead. It is actually in a little historic community called Highland Lake, which borders Highland Lake.

Historic Highlandlake Church Event Center

I have been to a small wedding there, many years ago, and it will fit you perfectly. You can have a picnic reception, right on the lake. It is really beautiful place to have a wedding and is used much by the folks on the plains. It is not too far, just northeast of Longmont.

This is the link to the historic village

The Virginia Dale Community Church sits in the foothills north of Fort Collins, but the grassy surroundings look like prairie.

Sorry....been a little lax about checking the forum.

I am sure there are quite a few in SE Colorado that would fit your needs. Give me a few details....date, etc and I'll see what I can do.

Colorado Boys Ranch has a neat little chapel that might work.

I went to a wedding here once:

Ryssby Church Home Page

I don't know if you have to be a Lutheran to get married there; the bride was in the case of the wedding I went to.
