Anybody notice more misquitos this year? It seems like they`ve been out in full force since April. I keep getting bit and this is during the middle of the day.

I'm not sure about the Misquitos, but I did see A mosquito on my arm, while sitting on the banks of the Colorado River, during a rest break while hiking the Horsethief Bench trail on Memorial Day.

Plus the major cities are doing less spraying this year because of lack of money. I think Colorado Springs is doing no spraying and Pueblo is doing limited spraying.

We had a lot more water up here this spring due to more snowfall, so yes, we have more mosquitos. Can't speak for the rest of the state though.

Haven't seen one yet this year in Colorado Springs, and there were a very few on the Arkansas River this week where I was fishing.

I live just south of Fruita. The Colorado River is less than a quarter mile from me. Tonight the mosquitos were stopping by for an evening meal. I retreated in the house.
