Considering entering a graduate program at USC-Columbia in the Fall. In considering housing options, I am looking for something within walking or biking distance to the campus as well as walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, and (hopefully) a nice bar. Graduate student on-campus housing ranges from 700-860 a month all-inclusive. This is doable, but I am wondering if there are cheaper options nearby.
Also, if there is anyone on this board who has experience living in the on-campus Cliff Apartments or Carolina Gardens Apartments, I would greatly appreciated some input.
If you don't mind a place in serious need of renovation, Cornell Arms is a highrise apartment building just off campus that is very inexpensive and all inclusive.
