I agree...how many wings places and sports bars can one city support? Oh well, the site looked too small for PF Changs (what I was hoping for). Still there is hope with other sites under construction in the Harbison area, I guess.
yeah I was surprised, ive never been in a BWW but considering there is the Ale House and Wild Wings both within a stone's throw, I was expecting something else to go in there...
It's apparently what the City of Columbia wants, since they're doing what they can to stifle the food trucks...
A) The old O'Charley's location isn't in the city limits
B) I don't think it's outrageous that the city expects mobile businesses to have written authorization to use the site in which they are located. The law was designed to stop side of the road flower/carpet/furniture sales schemes from setting up on other people's property.
I didn't make it to the meeting/hearing, but I believe there's more to it than just requirement of written permission (that wouldn't be an issue). Like, not being able to "take up any parking spaces", etc.
Yeah, it really is too bad. At least they are putting in a restaurant though...on the NE side all they are building is car lots and fast food.
