I'm thinking of moving to Columbia after my graduation this summer. I have several jobs in mind both in Florence and in Columbia (I'm not worried about the commute, I'm fine with that) but I was wondering the best areas to look at for a 23 yr old female. I'm not really into the party scene so I didn't want to be to close to USC or to that many bars. I want just kind of a down-home country feel but still being able to get to everything in the city within about 10-15min. Any apartment recommendations? I'd like to stay under $750 for rent each month. Thanks in advance!

I think I'm missing something...do you want to live in an apartment complex or do you want to live in the country?

An apartment complex preferably but I just didn't want to be in the heart of downtown in traffic chaos

In Richland County there are some large, nice-looking apartment complexes off of I-20 on the way to Florence, along the frontage road. I don't know the name of them, but one of those or some other apartment in that area would be good. You'd be 15 minutes from downtown and between five and 10 minutes from the Village at Sandhill. And your commute to and from Florence would be in the opposite direction of traffic.
