So..... Here's a controversial solution to a problem. Truthfully, tell me your thoughts. Legalize marijuana, tax it, and use those proceeds to fund roads, dams, AND help fund the low income school districts?

Not just weed but gambling also. Bring Casinos to the state and taxes from them will help fund the state also. Imagine an anchoring casino on the Innovista riverfront a tower with hotels and entertainment all around it drawing people to the river and Columbia on general.
Imagine Myrtle Beach being the next Atlantic city. Imagine Greenville getting a Harrah's hotel.
The amount of money is there South Carolina had to many "morals" standing in the way of progress.
I'm not opposed to gambling, but there are casinos in so many places now that they aren't an economic boon anymore. As far as marijuana is concerned, it's absurd that it isn't legal. Alcohol is much more of a problem.
Ya smaller casinos (those not in Las Vegas, Macau) have lost their luster and most are
Super depressing places.
