It will never work as long as Oliver Gospel is still across the street.

I'm so hyped. I hope this comes together. Finley park would be the main downtown attraction

They should now move the main post office out and replace it with a Bass Pro Shop....like what they did to the Memphis Pyramid.. It would complement it nicely and turn the site into an outdoorsman (or womans) paradise with activities and nature exhibits both in an outside.. That would lure people into downtown that may not have come in before. All joke aside.. I went in the Memphis Pyramid to get a look at the Bass Pro Shop.. Stock. I don't even fish or do much outdoor stuff.. but this was a must see.. Not to mention the observation deck at the top has a glass floor.... not for the faint of heart

As far as the homeless.. the saying goes.. "give a man a fish he will eat for a day.. teach him how to fish.. feed him for a lifetime..." so they will have to keep the lake well stocked....

They should relocate the Post Office building somewhere else downtown, demo it, and make Finley Park even bigger!

Sure it will, if it's for a specific use. I don't imagine that whatever gets developed there will be passive in its uses and people will be allowed to loiter.

It sounds promising and I actually wonder what it could be. I'm glad to see this type of collaboration with a successful entity in a neighboring city though.

USPS doesn't provide that data anymore.

Either way, I believe it's owned by the Weinberg Foundation out of Hawaii.
