The latest redevelopment is coming to the former laundry building, this area seems to be blowing up. Can’t wait to see what’s next with the first residents of the Babcock moving in this spring and another 500 potential residents coming on line with the Bennett apartments. Still interested to see what’s coming along Bull St between Matilda Evans St and Elmwood as it seems to be a lot of work occurring in that area for nothing to have been announced.
That’s iron Hill Brewery and the church is going to be a food hall
Seems like a large area to just be the brewery and based off of the food hall drawings it seems like the addition they are building to the church wouldn’t take up much of that area. It’s possible that could be another garage built by the city going in there, but on the Bull St map it says future retail/office/hotel development. Perhaps they’re just preparing the area for future development.
I was thinking that iron hill was to be adjacent to Starbucks, up along Bull.
I too thought Iron Hill is (maybe not) going to the plot on the same side of Matilda Evans St as Starbucks. There hasn’t been activity there since they graded the land when building Starbucks and the parking lot that would be between the two. I know they claim it’s still happening but it’s been so long since the announcement and there appears to be no work happening.
Not trying to be funny but the report said that this is the largest redevelopment on the East Coast?! Is that accurate or just developer hubris? If it is true great for Columbia

They’ve been saying for a few years largest Urban Redevlopment east of the Mississippi, assuming that is by area and not $$

The Atlanta Beltline may have it beat terms of size and money.
