Apparently, we are becoming the coffee/specialty drink corridor. Including, Devine Street, this area will be soon be the host to five coffee houses: Scooter's Coffee, two Starbucks, 7-Brew Coffee, and Clutch Coffee.

Can we possibly get a DQ or even a Shake Shack?
Don't forget the Dunkin by Dreher and the new one across from Ford Dealership
Garners Ferry related - Barnes and Noble will be moving into the old Bed Bath & Bayond location next to Target on Garners Ferry. Assuming this is just a relocation from Richland Mall before it’s demolished.

Thats promising.. seems like more is happening inside the "beltway" when it comes to SE Columbia than outside. The area outside the beltway seems to have an identity crisis.. Is it SE Columbia or Lower Richland? One seems more appealing to the other says my realtor friend. I have friends on Leesburg near Greenlawn and they hail SE Columbia and dont want anything to do with Lower Richland (community name) though the County feels otherwise.
This sign is on Leesburg right off of Garners Ferry near the I-77 exit
Yeah this explains all the coffee shops and fast food places opening in this corridor. It always seemed somewhat under served and less developed than Columbia's other corridors . That is rapidly changing especially once they built I-77. Very stable income and good school zones are certainly a driving force as well along with proximity to Downtown USC and Ft Jax
I can see more infill development like this as there are several large lots surrounded by existing development in this area. The one across Trinity I believe is supposed to become apartments
