Looks like my family and i will be PCSing to Shaw in May 2011. I was wondering how strict the lift laws are for lifted vehicles. I have a F250 on 8 inches and 38's and from what i have read anything over 6 inches over stock is a no go. Now i am 31 yrs old, married and a father of 3, i'm not your typical idiot teenager out there being well, an idiot. I have only had one ticket because of the lift and i was being, well an idiot, many many years ago. I don't drive it enough for anybody to even know i'm around. I have my daily driver Kia for that (lol). Just wanting to know if anyone has had any issues. Also i know it's not practical and i don't need anyone telling me that either.

There is an Excursion around on a pretty significant lift (and driven by a tiny girl!), but I'm not sure now if it's more than 6" or not. There's also an H1 on a pretty big lift behind Walmart, and I'm pretty sure that one *is* more than 6".

How much is suspension and how much is a body lift?

*Edit - And if you have a daily driver, then you may be able to get some sort of exception made as a "recreational vehicle".

Thanks Ceezer. I'm not to worried about the lift and whatnot. I've been looking around and it seems the "law" looks the other way. It's usually like that everywhere as long as you're not being a complete idiot. Are you wondering how much a susp and/or body lift costs?

No, sorry. I meant how much of your lift is from suspension modifications and how much of it is a body lift?

Feel free to post a picture, I love lifted trucks! ;c)

It's all suspension...it's a diesel so it's hard to do a body lift because of the intercooler tubing etc etc. Working on putting a pic up but can't figure it out. I'm not computer savvy.
