Hi guys, we've just found out that we have a buried fuel tank that is not in use in our back yard. I'm having a hard time locating someone that drains/fills/caps these. Anyone mind replying with a reputable person or sending me an IM? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Have you contacted DHEC? I believe that's the first step in having the tank assessed.

Definately call DHEC. I sold a gas station a few years ago and we went through this. It was not in this area or I would send you the name of the company that did it.

They aren't a big deal. You can have an environmental guy come take care of, but will cost you more. Most handymen can even take care of it. Do you know if it's empty? The easy fix is filling it with sand then cutting the cap off.
