Hello there,

I am considering moving to Columbus, GA sometime in June/July 2011, and was wondering which apartments offer high-speed internet (atleast 12mbps down/ 2 mbps up). My Job requires me to work remotely, so the internet speed available pretty much determines where I can move. Based on my research Mediacom cable probably offers the fastest internet speed in the area (correct me if I am wrong). But its hard to tell where its services are available, and where they are not. Some apartments I have called have contracts with knology, which is not fast enough for my work . Would someone with insight in this area please tell me which apartments/areas I should be looking at. I am open to relocating to Phenix City as well, provided the internet speed is high enough.

Thanks in advance.

-Mehul

Best place to look is to research some apartment websites. Check out Greystone Properties. Best bet is somewhere in Columbus compared to Phenix City. Welcome to the Columbus area!

You might want to take a look at Knology, they just started using DOCSIS 3 here and their "standard" speed is now 15mbps/5mbps.

If you haven't moved Knology isn't too bad for internet service and Greystone properties are amazing. I live in a Greystone property and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
