Columbus is hard to get to without an interstate going through town. ( DOWNTOWN )

You mean an interstate that goes right through downtown Columbus???? No that's not even remotely realistic. To me downtown isn't that hard to get to if you're going to the bars late at night.

There already is a mini one it just has stop lights then turns into interstate form after you pass the civic center

A mini one? The Civic Center? You mean Victory Drive? I know Manchester turns into a freeway but wouldn't say the same about Victory Drive or Veterans Parkway.

Maybe he means as Victory Drive moves on into Fort Benning and/or exits onto North I-185?

And I suppose 280 on the Alabama side sort of becomes a freeway similar to what happens with Manchester Expressway... which of course offers an exit onto JR Allen Parkway, to North I-185.

A stretch, but with some imagination it all happens, more-or-less...

U.S Route 27 (Victory Drive & Veteran Parkway) leads you into downtown.

Still not an interstate or express :l
But anyway
Before Columbus gets one I wanna see a skyline downtown
Don't lead travelers to a sky without a line

No city in Georgia outside of Atlanta has a true skyline. Columbus has a nice collection of buildings from 5-20 stories.

What's up the Interstate talk in downtown? A Interstate couldn't be down there if the DOT wanted it to.
