I think a lot of people would be, but I don't think they are building there.

I have not heard anything substantial in about two years. Last I heard (Fall 2014?) Costco was in contract negotiations. Any updates since then?

I'm hoping we hear something soon, I know we have a lot of retail centers in the works. I think a lot of the rumored businesses are waiting on just the right locations which may not be available yet.

Three articles re: the Old Swift Mill site (to be called "Midland Downs"). Costco is mentioned in all three

Nothing official, and I am not getting my hopes up yet, but it is still nice to see Costco's name picking up steam around here.

Could supermarket Publix open a 28m (28,000 square feet) store in Columbus' downtown?

We're losing out on stores because of our high sales tax. Also more developers are depending on soldiers than the own citizens of Columbus. (This explains why so many projects are moving at snail pace at CPC.)

If Columbus' downtown needs a supermarket, Publix and any other supermarket participant could be considered.

would it make any difference if people contacted the real estate company who bought "Midland downs" directly to request Costco? Or would it not really matter?
