Phenix City will look vastly different within the next 2 years. Amazing what they have going on right now.

The way hotels are build around the Columbus/Phenix City Area makes it seem as if there is a building height restraint. Most hotels are 4 stories and is spread out, but the ones on North Veterans like the Hyatt and the Holiday in are smaller but taller does anyone else notice this?

I know the Marriott in Downtown is around 9-10 stories.

I agree. Wish this project would have been at least 6 floors or so. Definitely could have used less land and had better views of the river and downtown Columbus. Both cities need to think vertical to maximize space.

Phenix City is turning into boom town with all of these projects. The Brickyard, Riverchase, and downtown development are really pushing PC to another level. Can't wait until the Columbus MSA and Auburn/Opelika area merge. Who knows, maybe Lagrange will be added eventually as well. This would complete a triangle much similar but smaller than what you see in North Carolina. Great things happening in the region.

I agree..... If it happens. I think theres a lot of smoke and mirrors right now with all the shinny renderings, but until it happens, I'm not getting a head of myself.
