I agree that would be nice

Hard to get pumped about a hotel - but when you take a step back and look at how far we've come and where it appears to be heading - its exciting to think about.

I've been down there and it looks nice except I wish it was more grander being on the river front....but I do think that this hotel will see a high rate of occupancy compared to other hotels!

This along with the Troy building are really going to increase the view when looking west out of downtown Columbus. Fingers crossed a nice development with some height comes to the Columbus riverfront. So much potential!

Meh.

It will end up like every other hotel in the area. Besides whitewater, where will the costumers come from?

I think being right across the river from TSYS would make this a prime location for business clients staying in the area. I think it's in a good location for people wanting to stay near downtown.

The once thing I think could hurt with it's location though it's it's proximity to public housing in Phenix City.

The public housing will be gone within the next 18-24 months. Nothing concrete and no idea what will happen to the land, but they've been shopping it for over a year

I agree. I hope it gets bulldozed and not replaced anywhere. That is a perfect site for future riverfront development.

Hopefully they add new shops and restaurants because you literally walk across the bridge to see nothing in phenix city. I also think they should add some kind of attraction/restaurant/shoppes to the front ave portion in columbus because Country's barbeque is sitting there alone!
