During the summer, it was reported in the newspaper that announcements regarding the new restaurants and retail stores that would be coming to the new development of Columbus Park Crossing would be made around the first of the year. Obviously, an announcement hasn't been made yet. Does anyone have any updates or "insider information" on this topic? All I've heard lately are the usual rumors (without concrete supporting info) -- Joe's Crab Shack, Macaroni Grill, Ruth's Chris, etc...

Haven't heard a word either. There is a building going up by Bonefish Grill and Verizon. That is going to be a doctors office. The building going up by Kia is a hotel, believe it's a Candlewood Suites. No word yet on the major expansion though. Hope something will be announced in the coming months.

Apparently, this is going to be yet another example of Adams dragging its feet on a project. After all the hype circulating throughout 2012, you would think that they would've been eager to make an announcement by now.

I agree. Gander Mountain is wanting to move there really bad. I assume they are waiting on finalizing contracts before they announce. Hope something happens soon!

A request was made to Chipotle by myself to inquire about their interest here. They have been contacted already and have added Columbus to the short list of cities it's considering.

Great keep up the good work. We also need a bass pro shop in the columbus area. Have you heard any news lately on when they are suppose to be expanding columbus park crossing.

I agree! A few weeks ago I drove to Macon to get my Aldi "fix". Actually - they have the only sugar free creamer that I use and like for my coffee and I had to re-stock up.

The manager there said "oh - Columbus is getting an Aldi - but it's not slated for another couple years".

Meanwhile, in Greensboro, NC where my folks live - they keep adding new Aldi around the city.
