A new brewery has recently opened its doors in the Columbus/Phenix City area. Chattahoochee Brewing Company opened this past week. Nice addition to downtown Phenix City and the whitewater project. Here is the brewery's website Chattahoochee Brewing Company

We know the owners through the local homebrew club, and they are the nicest people! They plan a steady rotation of several varieties of 'homebrew', which is really cool.

Are they planning on doing anything outside as far as views of the river?

This has to be one of my favorite parts of the new local additions, and revival of the area. They're doing small food items now, and the beer selection is always top-notch, rivaling the places I've been to in Columbus, Auburn, even Birmingham.

This past weekend they had spicy chicken tacos with some sort of tasty slaw, a couple of weeks back it was brats and a few different dips. Nothing huge, but def some stuff that you can munch on while enjoying the better/if not best beer selection of the area. Apparently the guy running it likes his football as well, on Saturdays he normally has a hand-written menu and keeps his menu screen (47in flat-screen tv) along with the others open for local favorites (UGA, ALA, AUB) games. I keep hearing that the inside of the brewing room will be completed soon. I'm excited to see that as well instead of that old news paper..
