Columbus, for some reason, does not support restaurants like we should. Every year probably 5-8 restaurants open up and are out of business before the end of the year. I'm not talking about the large stand alone places or fast food places, but usually alternative eateries that provide variety.

OldRiverRd,I agree! I would blame it on our competitive market. Just look at Peachtree Mall, every store in there fighting for the number one sales spot.

Columbus has always been a chain centric city. However, there have been a lot of great local places open. If it's good they will last. Just like anything, if it isn't good or enjoyable it won't.

Western Sizzlin was a great restaurant that had good business in Columbus. Why did the restaurant leave? I'm assuming it could't keep up in the market.

Don't believe any are open at all. I personally don't miss it.

Which restaurant are you referring to?
I was referring to Blue Iguana, but after looking at their menu, it doesn't seem like true Tex-Mex to me. We are trying it this weekend though, so I'll report back after that.
