Wish CSU would develop a NP and PA program. CSU needs to focus on more campus housing.

They know housing is and will be a problem with new regulations requiring those that live more than 30 minutes away to live on campus the first year, I believe. That same semesters that it went into effect they had to rent the Holiday Inn on Manchester to house all the students they had that required housing.

Hope they have plans for more housing. CSU has been growing nicely. That lower parking lot could be developed into more housing.

Any word on anything new?

The biggest problem with CSU expanding downtown is that they don't pay property tax and they are moving into some of the most desirable real estate in town. Now it's a catch 22, they are buying/remodeling/living in some structures that are in need of repair, and they're the only ones with the funds to do it. Not to mention college kids - even grad school - stimulate the economy, but long term, were taking a large chunk of possible property tax off the table for the future in return for an influx of population. It's great - but we need to get non-students downtown as well.

I completely agree. It is time for the city to really make a push for large scale developments. I nice Class A office building and another large downtown hotel are a must IMO. This would be a game changer for Columbus. More focus an urban development than the continued suburban sprawl we are seeing.

I checked with the Board of Regents filings (all rental agreements have to go through them), and I didn't see any rental agreements yet, but this months board meeting hasn't happened yet. Last agreement was a renewal of the lease on the Courtyard II ($147k/mo.) and in the 2014 budget they're going to allow $3.9 million to renovate Howard Hall on main campus. They just bought the One Arsenal, didn't they?

Now with City Council & Co. pushed out,now the Gov't Center belongs to the courts, along with a few departments that's still there. I think that gives downtown a business look.

Is the rumor regarding CSU's nursing program moving to the Ledger building based on any facts? Is the Ledger itself rumored to be going out of business?

Lol! The Ledger might be going out of business. Just look at the Ledger Facebook likes compared to WTVM.

The Ledger Enquirer is going nowhere. They are selling excess real estate, that's all. Just like most newspapers around the country, they are cutting back. They are here to stay, just in a smaller space.
