We are awaiting orders to relocate to Ft. Benning, and we're trying to get some ideas about where to look for housing. We have 2 kids, 6 and 3 who haven't had many playmates at our current assignment, so we hope to find an area that is home to families with younger kids. My DH will be working on post, of course, so we need a reasonable (20 min or less) commute to Ft. Benning. We have pets, too: 1 dog and 2 cats. I would prefer renting a house in a neighborhood, but we are not opposed to an apartment complex. Any ideas or suggestions? Any recommendations for fair/reputable rental management companies or realtors that deal with rental properties?

Thanks so much!

Check with Base Housing, they may have a list for houses and apartment rentals. I wish you well.

Why did someone erase my post about the house I have for rent? Are we not allowed to post that on here?

ATLCOL1 I think it's considered soliciting? I *think* you can P.M. her the information though. It sounded like it might be a perfect area for her family (I read it last night).
