I thought the city limits was all of Muscogee and already went to the county line?

I actually thought this too, but I think Fortson is in Muscogee country and outside the city limits.

I'm not sure if this is what he's saying, but I think he means the development of un-touched land is about to reach the county line? Map shows it inching closer and closer.

The only part of MuscogeeCo. that isn't within city limits of Columbus is Ft. Benning.

Personally, I would rather see growth and redevelopment among Columbus' established neighborhoods that have deteriorated over the years as opposed to sprawl. North highland, East Highland, the Liberty District all have a lot of interesting architecture and are are begging for a comeback.

Just like in Atlanta, 20 years ago you would never think areas like Old 4th Ward and Cabbage Town would be where they are today. It just takes an effort and the desire to make the city center grow again.

It's going to happen. We're seeing it with the downtown area now. Those areas you named will
become involved soon.

That was the change that Mayor J.R. Allen brought in over 40 years ago, if my memory serves me well.
