I'm looking forward to! It's about time as well. I've wondered for quite a while why there weren't more sporting goods stores in the area. It seems like this would be a prime area for them with Roosevelt State Park, white water rafting, Ft. Benning nearby, etc.

The development location is 16 acres and the store is over 64,000 sq ft. Seems like plenty of room for an academy sports
and more! 62-64,000 sq ft is the normal size for Academy Stores.
A 64,400-square-foot Academy Sports store will anchor a shopping center called “Whittlesey Commons” at 7221 Whittlesey Blvd., a 16-acre development that looks to include additional restaurants and retailers positioned on outparcels fronting the larger retailer.

16 acres is a lot. There is more land there than you think.
