Hi!
I am considering the Atlanta area or Columbus area for work and have a 4 year old who is autistic. Here in NJ, the services are great and he gets everything he needs through the school district even ABA therapy. Do the school districts in the Columbus area provide ABA therapy as part of the IEP or do you need to go through private services? My only issue with getting ABA therapy through my insurance is due to the GA state law . I was told Providers are only required to cover ABA therapy until the child is 6 which in NJ it’s up until 21 . That’s a HUGE difference in age. My son really needs to have ABA therapy. Any guidance ? Any advice is welcome

I know that over the last couple of years MCSD has gone through a lot of changes for its students with disabilities.

You should just email the people in charge and ask them directly: https://www.muscogee.k12.ga.us/p/Div...es/Information
