This is just passing lanes, not 4 lane.

Gotcha. It’s needed for all the people commuting to Columbus daily from the Fortson area.

Another project that can be added is the expansion of the Georgia Navigator system along I-185. GDOT is planning to extend the system all the to I-85 by adding cameras. Unfortunately, it won't get underway until 2023.

I like this idea! Also, they need to put lighting at any interchange on I-185 that doesn’t have it already, as it is quite hazardous at night getting off some of the exits, particularly all of the ones north of Buena Vista Rd.

I'll be going to that open house tonight, and am quite interested in their plans and timing for the project. Also, GDOT just awarded another contract for a project to rebuild the Standing Boy Creek bridge on Fortson Rd in Harris County:

Here's a short story on last night's meeting and info on how to pass your opinion to GDOT if you missed it: https://www.wtvm.com/2019/07/09/gdot...y-with-public/

It'll be interesting to see how they construct this, due to the fact that there are several subdivisions right on US 27, such as Coca Lake and the ones adjacent to the highway on Wooldridge Rd, as well as the new Dollar General at the corner of Grey Rock Rd. I'm excited to see some potential (maybe?) development if the traffic count on this stretch continues to increase.
