After this rainy weather passes, and it dries up a little, I highly recommend a nice, peaceful visit to one of our city's best kept secrets! Take a picnic basket---and relax a little.

CBG isn't funded by the city. And if the CBG had over 60 parks to maintain, like the city does, I promise you that all of them wouldn't be as nice.

Comparing a botanical garden to city parks is pretty low-brow.

Do you know which parks are becoming more popular with the homeless? I'm assuming that they're downtown/midtown-area parks?

While Cooper Creek and Flat Rock don't seem to have become makeshift "tent cities" just yet, it's clear that a sizable chunk of money is going to have to be invested into repairing and/or revitalizing many areas and elements of both parks, and soon. I have also noticed that over the last few years, both parks have started playing host to the unfortunate trend of being frequented by people who fall into the demographic group that can aptly be described as "people who aren't visiting the park for any park-relevant/intended use," whether those are criminals, loiterers, or just shady people all around.
