Anyone have any inside information on this? The article makes it sound pretty promising.

Would love to see this happen. Golden Park is a fantastic venue with tons of history.

This has been needed for a long time! I'd love to see baseball back in Columbus and we already have the venue for it!

Hopefully, I can see Columbus State, Auburn, LaGrange College, Troy, Tuskegee, Albany State, Fort Valley State, Kennesaw State, and maybe some players the Montgomery area participating in the games here. This is a great time to play "Send Me In Coach" by John Fogarty.

My only complaint would be that it is a summer league. If they wanted better attendance they would do it in the fall. That park is miserable during the summer, especially at night with the bugs.

Very excited over this news. Baseball is sorely missed at Golden.

That may be true, but there is no league which plays in the fall. All of them play in the summer with the playoffs finished by mid September.

At least the setting sun is behind the back of most seats.
