I'm not that picky so it doesn't matter to me. But I heard that some of the parents would like a hockey rink built.

I don't live there anymore, but I think it needs a good water park.

The city is actually planning to build a $3-5 million dollar ice rink. It is still waiting on some of the funding though. The rink will be located at South Commons.

Haven't moved there yet, but what about golf courses? Didn't seem to be a lot of those around. Perhaps I just looked in the wrong place.

A lot of the courses are private in Columbus. I would check out Bull Creek in Midland. It is on the eastside of the city. Also, Maple Ridge and Green Island Hills are very nice. Green Island Hills might be private though. Also, Callaway Gardens north of the city has 2 excellent courses.

Also, there is Oxbow Meadows and other courses (Robert Trent Jones) in Russel and Lee Counties in Alabama; they are ranked as some of the best in the nation for the cost.

Are they always so brown? Looking at Google Maps and Live Maps shows that the courses look to be burned out? Obviously those are the best representations of the area, but at what time of the year would they be so brown? Also, is there a drought problem in GA?

Haha no they are green. There is a drought here, but it has gotten much better since last year.

That is exactly what I was going to say. What a great thing to put in such a "HOT" area.
