Hi! My husband and I are considering purchasing a home in Granville. In the last couple years there has been a lot of attention drawn to schools across the U.S. for banning things like the Pledge of Allegiance because it mentions "God". In most recent news, a Wisconsin school banned a 2nd graders Valentine as it was Christian-based.

Just wondering if anyone in the area knows Granville school's policy on religion in schools?

Thanks in advance!

I honestly have no idea, but if they are any kind of quality public school, there would be a clear separation of religion and education. As far as the Pledge goes, the mention of God is not original and added during the hysteria of the "Red" scare during the 1950s. In any case, if religion is important to you and you want it to be a part of education, you have the option of private schools (of which there are plenty in the Columbus area and surrounding metro), or you can home school.
