Well, this I can totally agree with. That stinks.

You absolutely should, at the very least, give a discount to anyone in Franklin County, if not a free day a week like our Zoo does.
Our Zoo (Cleveland in case you joined this thread late, lol) offers free admission to all county residents every Monday all year.
Maybe even just offer a one free admission per year to each citizen? Something.

We do attract SOME tourists from Ohio and elsewhere but nowhere, I am sure, at the scale that your zoo must attract. Your Zoo must make a lot more money on admissions then ours does, yet ours can somehow afford to give free admission 52 days a year???
Our Zoo does have a lot of fund raisers, special after hours events and such to raise money which probably helps. And it's not like Clevelanders only go on Mondays. It's packed on the weekends. But it's free if you want to go (and take a day off of work because of course it isn't open late).
And prices drop in the winter by $3 and $4. I assume yours does not get cheaper in Winter?

According to the zoo's website, Franklin County residents get in 1/2 price on Wednesdays and during the school year, school groups from Franklin County Schools pay 1/2 price Monday-Friday as compared with other school groups.
