Easton seems to do a very good job attracting these high-end stores to locate in Columbus. Burberry has their only Ohio location at Easton as does Henri Bendel.

Please know that this bona fide Cincinnati resident is neither criticizing nor belittling Easton. Its fame (and allure) are well known throughout both Ohio and elsewhere; it is a mall that is much admired and copied. Easton Town Center has become one of the Midwest's most prominent and publicized palaces of posh spending. (like those "P" words?) Seriously! What either does or does not "happen" in Easton is being carefully examined by every upscale retailer in the entire region. Columbus and Easton are ONE, and the rest of affluent Ohio watches with shoppers' eyes.

How would I know what they do? Are you insinuating that I'm one of them. Quite the opposite.
No, jammer0101, I'm not insinuating ANYTHING about you...except that, as a newcomer here in the ongoing "Battle of The 3-Cs," you are yet unproven and not considered a formidable foe. Either you are "for or against" that which is either Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, and the choice is yours. Here you must choose your city (and choose wisely). No matter how much we may sometimes appease each other and say nice things about one another, the battle between us is ruthless and eternal--and woman's retail is absolutely no exception!

I would be willing to support the idea of bringing the store to Easton but only if they can provide me with a very fashionable man purse. I have a trip to Las Vegas coming up and such a purse would be appropriate given the occasion. Please let me know so that I may pass the info along to my wolf pack.

As far as the difference between the in-store department at Saks (there's already a similar department in the Polaris Saks) and a free-standing store, it's like splitting hairs. Either way, you are paying $1K for something made for $100. Not worth it in my mind.
Get real.

The only reason Louis Vuitton is in downtown Cincinnati is because they are in Saks.

The only reason Saks is in downtown Cincinnati is because the city has given them massive subsidies to keep that money-losing store going. They are paying Saks millions of dollars to operate at a loss in downtown.
